COMAH Site Enhancements – Unilever UK

Our client commissioned a detailed roofing survey report to highlight an ongoing maintenance programme of works arounds the Leeds site.

Working with Unilever FM insurers, we agreed a flameless scheme to strip and upgrade a 7,000m2 area over the live aerosol production process. We provided a design rated roofing system with a 20-year guarantee to eliminate any associated risk with a COMAH site, with vastly improved thermal qualities and a Green Guide rating in line with Unilever’s environmental ethos. The contract was successfully completed within the agreed 20-week timeframe without any site disruption or loss of production.

We took the opportunity to provide upgraded storm drains, install permanent roof perimeter handrail systems, revised roof plant layouts and structural improvements within the works programme.
